Verdict Retail made in the region of 1,600 appearances across the media in 2014. We know you’re probably too busy to watch the daytime news, but our analysts are frequently invited to appear on stations such as the BBC, Sky News and Bloomberg and, when we’re not busy producing information for you, we speak to the press, providing comment on industry events.

Part of a large family of specialists
In 2015 we were acquired by Progressive Digital Media, a leading provider of commercial intelligence. We have always covered classic sectors such as health & beauty and fashion, but over the years we’ve been joined by other analysts from across the group to provide insights into slightly less glamorous, but nonetheless notable, consumer markets including vehicle accessories, gardening and fuel retailing. We have a newly developed website for our customers that is far more innovative and intuitive.

The BIG 30
Our company was founded in September 1984 by Richard Hyman. Richard’s mission was to make Verdict “the best in retail research and analysis,” differentiating the brand by writing opinion rather than merely reporting retail facts. It’s thanks to our commitment to this that we will be celebrating our big 30th birthday this year with customers who have been with us from the beginning.
